Regional Partnerships Coordinator

Heidi McElnea

Heidi lives and works on Kamilaroi country, within the New England Renewable Energy Zone (REZ). In her role as Regional Partnerships Coordinator, Heidi facilitates an inclusive, place-based community development approach to support REZ coordination.

She believes the renewable energy transition offers an opportunity to strengthen regional economies while powering Australia with clean energy, and that public participation and First Nations partnerships are key to realising the vision.

Heidi’s qualifications include a degree in Communications, a diploma in Sustainability, IAP2 Engagement training and a current Certificate IV in Training & Assessment. She has 25 years of experience working in communications, engagement and training, including 10 years in the sustainability and clean energy contexts.

A deep respect for the land, biodiversity and cultural heritage underpins her approach to collaboration and project delivery.
